About PotsAndRoots
PotsAndRoots is an independent blog about indoor houseplant care, written for beginners who want their plants to stay alive — and then thrive.
What you will find here: plain-language guides to light, water, soil, and repotting; care guides for popular plants like monstera, pothos, and snake plant; honest problem diagnosis for yellow leaves, brown tips, drooping, pests, and root rot; step-by-step propagation; and toxicity-checked lists for homes with pets.
How we work: routines here are the ones used in real homes, not copied from a label. Pet-toxicity information is checked against reputable plant and pet-safety sources before it is published, because a wrong list can put a pet at risk. Where a plant problem can have more than one cause, we say so, and we show how to check in order instead of guessing.
What we are not: we are not a nursery and we are not veterinarians. Everything here is general information for home plant care, not professional advice for a sick plant or a sick pet. If a pet has eaten a plant, contact your veterinarian or a pet poison helpline right away rather than waiting for a blog post.
PotsAndRoots earns nothing from you for reading. If advertising is added later, it will be clearly advertising, and it will never change what a guide recommends.
